Aaron Carter passes away at 34

Aaron Carter was found dead in his California home on Saturday, November 5th. He was 34 years old.

“It is with great regret to confirm Aaron Carter was found unresponsive this a.m. in his home in Palmdale, CA,” his representative told Page Six.

“The family has been notified and will be flying out to Los Angeles. Aaron worked very hard towards the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family.”

Several sources told TMZ that Carter’s body was found in his bathtub.

Law enforcement officers headed to the premises around 11:00 local time after they received a call that a male had drowned.

Currently, the death is being investigated as a homicide, as is standard procedure.

The cause of death has not been disclosed and it is likely to remain that way until the autopsy and the coroner’s report have been completed.

Who was Aaron Carter

Aaron Carter was a former child pop singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter. Aaron found fame as a boy with pop songs like “I Want Candy” and “Crush on You.”

He released his debut album, titled “Aaron Carter,” in 1997. Earlier that year, Carter performed as the opening act fot the Backstreet Boys. His final album, “Love,” was released in 2018.

Carter played roles in television shows such as “Lizzie Mcguire” and “7th Heaven. He also appeared on his family reality series on E! Entertainment Television, “House of Carters.”

Aaron Carter’s personal life

Aaron came out as as bisexual in 2017.

“There’s something I’d like to say that I feel is important for myself and my identity that has been weighing on my chest for nearly half of my life,” Carter shared on Twitter. “This doesn’t bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off me.”

The artist explained that he “started to find boys and girls attractive” around the age of 13.

“There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn’t until I was 17-years-old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with and grew up with.”

The singer battled with multiple mental issues, including multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia, acute anxiety and manic depression.
