Angela Bassett may become the highest-paid Black woman on TV
According to Deadline, the actress who stars in Fox’s 9-1-1 series could make over $ 450,000 per episode.
Therefore, it is considered one of the highest salaries on network television for any actor and maybe the highest in the history of black actors in a television series.
In addition to filming the series, Angela was involved in the development of 9-1-1, created by Ryan Murphy, and she is also an executive producer on “9-1-1” and “9-1-1: Lone Star”.
It is also reported that fees for other team members will be increased by an average of 25% based on existing salaries in the next TV season.
The increase in fees is rather an exception to the rule, as the Covid-19 pandemic forced many conditions to be renegotiated, and also created a financial crisis for many media companies.
We remind that Angela Bassett before the “Fox 9-1-1” project appeared in the Academy Award nominee (1993 “What is love to do with it.)” Also, the actress is a multiple Primetime “Emmy” nominee.
