Britney Spears speaks out on a biopic: “I’m not dead!”

Britney Spears does not want a biopic for a very simple reason: she isn’t dead yet.

It all started with Millie Bobbie Brown. The actress shared with Drew Barrymore that one of her biggest career goals is to portray Britney Spears in a biopic about her life.

“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me growing up in the public eye. Watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger. Same thing with you; I see the scrable for words [in the interviews],” said Millie to Drew.

“I don’t know her but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way  and hers only,” the actress added.

However, Millie Bobbie Brown’s wish will not become true anytime soon,

Britney Spears herself responded to Brown’s pitch and wasn’t very keen on it.

“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude I’m not dead!!!” said Britney on Instagram a day after the interview was posted.

The conservatorship

Almost a year ago, a judge made the historic ruling to end the conservatorship that had been controlling the life, finances, and wellbeing of Britney Spears.

Since then, Britney has celebrated her 40th birthday and married her longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari.

“We did it!!! We got married!!! […] It was the most spectacular day!!! I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me,” Britney wrote on Instagram at the time.

The superstar seems to be better than ever and thriving.
