Early Life in Toronto
Aubrey “Drake” Graham was born on October 26th, 1986, to a Canadian Jewish woman(Sandra) and an African-American man (Dennis Graham).
Drake lived on the west side of Toronto with his mother after she parted ways with Drake’s father.
Dennis was a drummer for rock n roll piano king Jerry Lee Lewis and moved to Memphis after the split. Drake would spend his summers with his father in Memphis.
Drake felt isolated during high school because almost all white people didn’t understand what it felt like to be black and Jewish.
Drake attended a Jewish day school in Forest Hill, having his Bar Mitzvah at 13. Drake has made it clear that he is proud to be Jewish and enjoys celebrating holidays with his family.

Drake’s Acting Career
Drake’s acting career began in 2001 when he starred as Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation.
