Emma Watson confessed for whom she appeared on the set of Harry Potter and why we might not see Hermione again
Emma Watson explains how she fell in love with Tom Felton and why she wanted to leave the Harry Potter movie
We will be able to see a special episode of “Harry Potter” very soon, which will premiere on January 1st. In anticipation of this event, Emma Watson remembered falling in love with her co-star Tom Felton.
When the first installment of the legendary wizard franchise came out, Emma was 11 and Felton was 14.
Emma shared her childhood experience:
“I walked into the room where we were having tutoring. The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it – I just fell in love with him. I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day. He was three years above me and so for him he was like: “you’re like my little sister”.
Tom said that he knew about Watson’s love. He admitted that he always treated her warmly and still has tender feelings for her.
“I became very protective over her. Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.”
Despite the fact that the couple was repeatedly credited with an affair, Tom and Emma always denied these rumors, and claimed that they were always connected only by friendship.
Also, Watson also admitted that she wanted to leave the filming of the franchise.
She was still quite a child when fame suddenly fell on her, and such popularity scared her. Her other colleague on the set, Rupert Grint, had similar feelings.
Despite her doubts, Emma realized that leaving the franchise would be a mistake, so she stayed and continued filming.
