Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis had two children together before their 2012 divorce. Mr. Depp shows great pride in his children but has intentionally kept his kids away from the public eye. Mr. Depp has expressed in the past that it was important to him and his wife at the time to give their children a choice to be viewed publicly. Why haven’t we seen Jack Depp very much?

As we previously discussed, Johnny and his ex-wife decided to raise their children in the south of France. For this reason, we don’t have many photos of a young Jack and Lilly rose circulating the internet. When they got older, the family decided to move to California, where both kids began attending school. As the kids grew and got older, Lilly-Rose, Jack’s older sister, began to pursue a career in acting. We began to see Lilly coming into the forefront of the spotlight, but even to this day, Jack still prefers to stay out of the public eye. 

Jack Depp has a unique set of talents.

Unlike his father, Jack Depp has not voiced an interest in pursuing an acting career. He is a very private young man, and it seems that he plans to keep his life that way. In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Johnny Depp shared, “My boy Jack… draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He’s got a good feel for that.” Mr. Depp has expressed relief with the world when referencing that his son does not show an interest in acting. At one point, he spoke publicly, saying one of his greatest fears in life was that his children would want to pursue a career in acting.

The love in this family runs deep!

It’s no secret Johnny Depp is a fantastic father. Many of the interviews that have mentioned his children have been about how much he loves watching them grow and is truly inspired by them. One of Mr. Depp’s greatest motivators in the recent Amber Heard trial was reported that he wanted to clear his children from facing these allegations. Mr. Depp voiced on the stand, “I wanted to clear my children of this horrid thing that they are having to read about their father, which was untrue.” 

The family speaks fluent French.

The Depp family decided to raise their children in the south of France, which means the family is bilingual and fluent in French and English. In a conversation with Kiera Knightly for Interview, Magazine Lilly-rose spoke about how the two siblings would often talk in French at their school in California to keep conversations private. 

He had a pretty serious health scare in 2018

In 2018 Vanessa Paradise, Jack’s mother, reportedly missed the premiere of her movie “Knife and Heart” because her son was very sick. The Depp family never made a statement to explain what landed Jack in the hospital.

His relationship with Camille Jansen

It’s been reported that there may have been an intimate relationship between the two. They both seemed to keep things private, but in 2018 Camille made a post on Instagram to share well wishes for her boyfriend’s birthday. A photo of Camille accompanied this post with her hands around Jack. However, a fan commented on the picture asking if the two were still a couple, and Camille responded, saying they were not. Due to the private nature of the two, it is difficult to discern the current state of their relationship. However, it appears they are still friends with one another.
