Introducing the new faces of Princess Diana and Prince Charles in the upcoming season of “The Crown”

The Crown will have added two new faces to their cast to play as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Elizabeth Debicki will be playing the late Princess Diana and Dominic West will portray Prince Charles as the “older” version of the couple in the new and upcoming 5th season of “The Crown”

The actors will be replacing Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor, who played the younger versions of the royals in season 4. Elizabeth Debicki took to her Twitter page to express her gratitude and excitement for playing the lovely Princess Diana. She stated “Princess Diana’s spirit, her words, and her actions live in the hearts of so many. It is my true privilege and honor to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from episode one”

Other new cast members are Imelda Staunton who replace Olivia Colman in the role of Queen Elizabeth II, Helena Bonham Carter, who played Princess Margaret will be replaced by Lesley Manville, and Jonathan Pryce will be playing the late Prince Philip and Jonny Lee Miller will portray the Prime Minister John Major.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been delays in the production which will result in fans having to wait a little while longer till the release of the 5th and much anticipated new season of their favorite show which is expected to premiere in 2022.
