James Franco spoke about intimate relationships with his students and added that he regrets this experience
Several years ago, Hollywood actor James Franco was accused of sexual harassment by five women, four of whom were students at his film school.
At the time, the actor denied the charges. And in a recent interview with Jess Cagle on a podcast on SiriusXM, he frankly talked about why he was silent for several years and admitted that he did have sex with female students.
“Look, I’ll admit I did sleep with students. I didn’t sleep with anybody in [my ‘Sex Scenes’ class], but, over the course of my teaching, I did sleep with students and that was wrong, ”
“But like I said, I, it’s not why I started the school and I, I didn’t, I wasn’t the person that selected the people to be in the class. So it wasn’t a master plan on my part. But yes, there were certain instances where, you know what I was in a consensual thing with, with a student and I shouldn’t have been. ”
Franco added that after the accusations and complaints, he decided that it would be better for him to take a break for a while and go into the “shadow”.
The sex scandal involving the actor had a negative impact on his career, and in 2018 Franco was not included in the list of Oscar nominees because of this. He also added that he constantly cheated on his girls until he met his beloved Isabel Pakzad.
Franco will pay a total of more than two million dollars to the girls who became the objects of his sexual harassment, who filed lawsuits against him in court.
“I let a lot of people down. I let my students down, I let the, I hosted the Oscars. I let them down. I let my co-workers down on my movies, ”
Franco’s Studio 4 closed in 2017.
