Kourtney Kardashian has a new brand: “Lemme”

Seven days ago, Kourtney Kardashian teased on Instagram that she was launching something new. In the post, she was sat on a pink velvet couch using her phone.

“You’re gonna want to sit down for this…notifications on please,” Kourtney wrote in the caption.

The speculations regarding this new thing varied from a new social media app to a podcast. None were true, as we lately learnd.

A new venture

The new business venture is named “Lemme,” vegan gummy vitamins and supplements – using clinically-backed – ingredients and formulations that help you to live your best life. The new venture is actually a partnership with long-time Kardashian friend, Simon Huck.

She launched the brand on Instagram stating that “after lots and lots of meetings and conversations” and after finding the right partners, Lemme was brought to fruition.

Kourtney Kardashian has a unique process

In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, the reality tv star said that her new line of all-natural edible supplements took five-years of developing and planning.

“My process [with a new product] is take it to my natural doctor, and he would muscle test me with it,” she said. “I would hold the product in my hand, and he would see how it reacts to my body.”

“Some things test well, but most of the time things didn’t test well on me. I found it so interesting when he would say, ‘Oh, it’s because they’re using corn or corn syrup or it’s genetically modified,” Kourtney added.

The products

Lemme launched with three different products cleverly named:

  • Lemme Chill
  • Lemme Matcha
  • Lemme Focus

Lemme Chill  are de-stress gummies with Ashwagandha & Passionflower. Ashwagandha suports reduced stress by bringing cortisol down to healthy levels. Lemme Chill also contains botanicals and has a mixed berry flavor.

Lemme Matchaare energy B12 gummies with matcha & CoQ10. Matcha is Kourtney’s favorite beverage and she packed it into a energy-promoting gymmy. Coq10 is an antioxidant.

Lemme Focus are concentration gummies with Citicoline & Lion’s Mane that taste like strawberries. Cognizin Citicoline is a functional ingredient that helps with concentration along with lion’s mane mushrooms, organic MCT Oil, and vitamin B 12.

“Kourtney has spent years working with a team of top scientists and specialists to create innovative formulations leveraging clinically-researched nutrients, vitamins, and botanicals,” said in a statement Dr. Thais Aliabadi, a board-certified physician specializing in women’s health and Lemme board member. “She prioritized ingredients that were bioavailable and filled nutritional gaps in people’s diets.”

Ecoconscious

The vintage bottles are made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled materials. Lemme is also a partner with Carbonfund in order to offset the carbon footprint of every Lemme shipment. One Tree Planted is also a partner to restore rain forests and natural habitats.

Each bottle of vitamins costs $30 and will be available on September 27. The only way to get your hand on them is through the Lemme website.

The story behind the name

The name of the brand rolls of your tongue quite easily and that was the purpose.

“”I couldn’t think of the right word for each scenario [in which to take a supplement], but we’d say all the time, ‘Lemme focus on this.’ Once we realized we use it so much in our vocabulary, none of us could get it out of our heads,” Kourtney said. “You know, Lemme-everything-that-I’m-doing.”

She says that naming a business is like naming a kid. “There was one [name] that always felt so right for each of my kids, and I felt the same way with Poosh and Lemme,” she added.

Plans for the future

In true Kardashian fashion, Kourtney does not plan to stop at gummies. HollywoodLife was able to obtain the trademark documents filed by the 43-year-old entrepreneur and reality star. According to the documents, she plans to include “bags, purses, totes, wallets, clutches, and clothing.” By the sound of it, it looks like Lemme might come out with merch, but we can’t say for sure.

Kourtney Kardashian’s vegan journey

When you hear Kourtney Kardashian and vegan gummies, nothing seems out the ordinary. The idea is perfect for her, mostly because she is very health and wellness focused.

In 2019, Kourtney launched Poosh, a multi-media platform focused on promoting wellness. She has been promoting plant-based living ever since. Her husband, Travis Barker, also lives a vegan lifestyle. After surviving a plane crash in 2009, he follows a plant based diet, because it helps him thrive.

Entreprenurial spirit

Kourtney Kardashian Poosh

A short year after the infamous heated debate with Kim, Kourtney launched Poosh and now Lemme. In 2018, after Kim organised a shoot around her schedule, Kourtney called her out for not taking everyone else’s time into consideration.

Kim screamed at her: “Maybe if you had a business that you were passionate about then you would know what it takes to run a business, but you don’t.”

It was true at the time. Kourtney’s main focus were her children and their happiness. Maybe the fight with her sister was a wake up call or an inspiration to start doing what she loved. We like to think that the result are Poosh and Lemme.

Another brand?

Once you start, there’s no going back. Chances are that Lemme isn’t Kourtney’s final brand. The Sun was able to uncover the she filed another trademark on the same day as Lemme for a business called “Unplug” which covers “vitamins, supplements, vitamin-fortified food and beverages and vitamin cases.”

Unplug also covers other categories, like, “Dietetic substances adapted for medical use; food for babies; plasters; materials for dressings; material for stopping teeth; dental wax; disinfectants; preparations for destroying vermin, fungicides and herbicides.”

It is yet unclear how Unplug and Lemme connect, but we’ll know soon enough.
