Netflix’s Squid Game may become biggest show ever says Netflix co-CEO

The Korean Squid Game series is set to top Netflix’s non-English shows “for sure,” says co-CEO Ted Sarandos also adding that the show has a “very good chance” of being its most popular show, period.

“There’s a show on Netflix right now that is the No. 1 in the world, like everywhere in the world. Squid Game will definitely be our biggest non-English language show in the world, for sure.”

Netflix has always been quite secretive about viewership numbers for particular shows. “House of Cards” creator said Netflix would not even share viewer metrics with him. However, in the last couple of years, Netflix has been more open and transparent about how popular shows are doing has also added a top-trending ranking system to its streaming service, so viewers can see what the most popular titles are.

“We’re trying to be more transparent with the market, with the talent, with everybody,” Ted Serandos said on Monday.
