Sesame Street songwriter Stephen J. Lawrence dies at 82
Stephen J. Lawrence died on December 30, 2021, at a medical center in Belleville, New Jersey, USA.

For 30 years, the composer wrote music for the children’s television show “Sesame Street”, for which he created more than 300 songs, and was also an arranger and conductor.
Also, Lawrence worked on the children’s entertainment project Free to be … You and Me.
For his outstanding achievements in music and composition for his work on the show, he received three Emmy Awards.
