White House offered Nicki Minaj a phone call, not a visit, as the rapper claimed
On September 16, Niсki Minaj tweeted that she was invited to the White House for an explanatory talk about the consequences of vaccination.
Previously rapper had reported that a friend of her cousin had consequences after vaccination in the form of swollen testicles.
According to NBS News, Minaj was offered a “call” rather than a “visit” to discuss the “safety and effectiveness” of the Covid vaccine.
“As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine,” the White House official said.
Minaj also had a series of tweets this week of controversy with Pierce Morgan over her vaccination claims and also, why she did not attend the Met Gala this year.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, a leading national expert on infectious diseases, also commented on this situation during an interview with CNN on Tuesday.
“There’s a lot of misinformation, mostly on social media, and the only way we know to counter mis- and disinformation is to provide a lot of correct information,” he said. “And to essentially debunk these kinds of claims, which may be innocent on her part. I’m not blaming her for anything but she should be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis.”
