Who played White Boy Rick in 50 Cent’s BMF?
Marshall Mathers III, aka Eminem, took part in the episode of the Black Mafia Family or simply BMF on Starz platforms. The plot of the series is based on real events about Detroit’s mafia.
About BMF show
The Black Mafia Family (BMF) 1 season – the dramatic series tells about one of the most influential crime families Black Mafia Family, which appeared in southwest Detroit in the 1980s and engaged in the laundering of drugs and money.
The main characters of the true story are the two brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.
The BMF entered the hip-hop business as BMF Entertainment, which helped to launder money from cocaine sales.
The executive producer Curtis James Jackson III “50 Cent”, has a fairly great experience in producing area, so before him, the Flenory brothers did not give permission to film their history.
The leading roles belong to Russell Hornsby, Steve Harris, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory – the son of Demetrius Flenory, Ajiona Alexus, Michole Briana White, and others. In addition to Eminem, Snoop Dogg was another star participant and he was assigned the role of Pastor Swift.
Interestingly that 50 Cent first thought to play Pastor Swift. The producer explained the reason for the refusal of the role “It’s because I knew I had to market this whilst also doing promotional stuff for Raising Kanan which I did a voiceover for, and I didn’t want that to be in people’s minds when I reappeared in BMF.”
Rap legends in one project
The winner of the Grammy and Oscar awards for the soundtrack to the film “8 Mile” was invited to star in the mini-series by his good friend and colleague 50 Cent.

Got him to play white Boy Rick in BMF, this shit is out of here.”
What does White Boy Rick have to do with BMF?
The Black Mafia family was founded in 1985 in southwest Detroit. In the period from the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, Richard Wershe Jr., together with his family, lived on the eastern side of Detroit.
It was a period when many big American cities built a criminal reputation related to drug traffic.
The Wershe Jr.,( aka) White boy Rick was involved in the criminal world very early, as his father was an FBI informant.
When the Jr., was 16 years old, he also became an FBI informant. This did not last for long and at the age of 17, he was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Who played White Boy Rick in BMF?
The popular rapper got the role of White Boy Rick whose real name is Richard Wershe Jr. Em’s character was an FBI informant that ran guns and drugs as part of a Detroit gang. In a short video, Eminem as White Boy Rick in a black wig and fur coat greeted Demetrius “Meech” Flenory.
Who is White Boy Rick?
The drug dealer played by Slim Shady is quite famous. In 2018, the documentary “White Boy Rick” was filmed, starring Matthew McConaughey.
The plot follows the life of a young rapper named Jimmy “B-Rabbit” Smith Jr, who is a 23-year-old living in Detroit. He works in a factory but dreams of building his career as a rapper where African Americans rule.
The movie became successful both financially and with the audience. The lead actor, Eminem, won an Oscar for Best Song for “Lose Yourself” in 2003.
Perhaps the film has success, as it really seems to be very true. Marshall Mathers is talented and tenacious, as evidenced by his name in the Guinness World Records. He got this honorary status because the song “Rap God” by Eminem accelerates to 6.5 words per second, performing 1560 words in 6 minutes and 4 seconds!
After this movie, the rapper did not star in the main roles.
He also took part in several documentaries, but building a career as an actor does not seem interesting to him.
Something went wrong
As a producer, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was dissatisfied with the fact that the audience would not see part of episode 7 BMF. He tweeted:
“I’m disappointed that STARZ handled this so poorly. I used my personal relationships to make things happen they couldn’t have made happen. Starz is a shit show, they better sell it fast. They put the fucking BMF show on, then took it down. what network does shit like that? They just ruined the anticipation of The episode I directed, I WORKED HARD ON THIS. I can’t work with these people anymore.”
